STATEMENT: NEMA Applauds House Energy and Commerce Committee Passage of Legislation to Foster Collaboration Between Government and Industry to Strengthen Supply Chains

April 9, 2025

NEMA Senior Vice President of Public Affairs Spencer Pederson issued the following statement in response to the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s passage of the Promoting Resilient Supply Chains Act (H.R. 2444):

“NEMA applauds the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s passage of the Promoting Resilient Supply Chains Act of 2025 (H.R. 2444)—critical legislation that will establish a government-wide effort to improve our nation’s supply chains.

“Collaboration among government, manufacturers, and the electroindustry is critical to ensuring a reliable, resilient supply chain that can withstand disruptions and achieves shared infrastructure modernization goals.

“We urge Congress to take swift action to advance this legislation and look forward to continuing our work with lawmakers on both sides of the aisle to strengthen our nation’s manufacturing base and supply chains, lower costs for American families, and bolster critical electrical infrastructure.”
