ARLINGTON, Va. – The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) today announced the appointment of three senior electroindustry executives to its Board of Directors: Kelly Becker, President of Schneider Electric’s North America operations; Sam Chambers, Senior Vice President at Lutron Electronics, and; Kraig Kasler, President of Cooper Lighting Solutions, a business unit of Signify. The appointments strengthen NEMA’s leadership at a pivotal moment for the association and the industry it represents, as NEMA embarks on its second century of advancing American manufacturing and innovation.

The new directors join NEMA’s Board as electrical manufacturers play an increasingly central role in shaping America’s energy and economic future. From grid infrastructure and energy management to intelligent buildings and advanced lighting, the electroindustry is delivering the technologies that will power a stronger, more reliable, and more efficient nation — and these leaders bring the experience and vision to help guide that work.

“From energy management and building controls to lighting and power distribution, Kelly, Sam, and Kraig bring deep expertise across critical segments of the electroindustry,” said NEMA President and CEO Debra Phillips. “As NEMA celebrates its centennial and looks toward the next 100 years, their leadership will be instrumental in advancing the policies, standards, and technologies needed to build a more reliable, resilient, and electrified America.”

  • Kelly Becker leads Schneider Electric’s North America operations and serves as a member of the company’s Global Executive Committee. Throughout her career, she has held senior leadership positions spanning Europe and North America, including President of Schneider Electric’s operations in the UK, Ireland, Belgium, and Netherlands. Earlier in her career, Becker held product and commercial roles at Danaher Corporation and TAC. Her appointment brings global perspective and deep experience in energy management and digital transformation to NEMA’s strategic direction.
  • Sam Chambers is Senior Vice President at Lutron Electronics, where he leads enterprise-wide initiatives focused on operational excellence and digital transformation. With more than two decades of leadership experience at Lutron spanning engineering, product management, general management, and operations, Chambers has developed a comprehensive understanding of how technology, operations, and customer needs intersect to drive growth and innovation. He is actively involved with industry organizations and serves on the Board of Directors of the Industry Data Exchange Association.
  • Kraig Kasler serves as President of Cooper Lighting Solutions, a Signify business unit, overseeing a global portfolio of lighting and control solutions. Previously, he held leadership roles at Eaton and Cooper Industries, and spent more than 13 years at General Electric in business development and management positions. His expertise spans electrical equipment, lighting innovation, and operational leadership across diverse markets.

“These appointments reflect the depth of leadership across the electrical manufacturing industry,” said NEMA Senior Vice President of Strategic Growth and Membership Alexa Burr. ” As NEMA advances its policy agenda and works to strengthen America’s energy future, Kelly, Sam, and Kraig will help guide the industry through a period of unprecedented growth and transformation.”
